In Case You Had Forgotten

Because I certainly had, it's been 20 years since the Tiananmen Square Massacres in China. This piece in the UK's Prospect does a nice job reflecting on what's happened since.

  1. We do so little for those brave enough or hard-working enough to take action. It seems that we focus our attentions on those too lazy or weak to move. Those in China fighting for freedom are ignored (as are they in Iran & Afganistan). While those who screech and moan about insufficient government programs to sustain thier "lifestyle" during a hurricane are remembered in round after round of "award winning HBO documentary."
